First day of school 2013

School started today, August 1.  The school has gone to a balanced calendar where they will get two weeks off in the fall and two weeks off in the spring.  They had eight weeks of summer break and they were excited to go back to see all their friends. 

Charlotte has a male teacher, Mr Crandall.  He taught 1st grade last year so she is already familiar with him.  Brooke has a young teacher for homeroom and reading.  This is her first full year teaching.  Her name is Miss Coleman.  Her math teacher is Mr. Provence. 

They both go to lunch very late-12:40 ish.  That will be a big change especially for Charlotte who went to lunch at 10:45 last year.  Hopefully they will be able to have a snack in the morning to tide them over.  We will try to get them to eat a big breakfast every day too...which might be hard some days when you just don't want to get out of bed....

I couldn't really get them to take a serious picture.  This is about as good as it gets.  Do you think Charlotte likes pink much?
