Memorial Day weekend started early, by celebrating Charlotte's birthday with her class on the last day of school. We took in some yummy treats, and then watched her play with her friends on the "big playground". I wish I had gotten a pic of her with her teacher, Mrs. Pauley, she was awesome!
We took off from school and headed to Bloomington to see Nathan's grandma and spend the night at her hotel. Halfway to Bloomington, Brooke started complaining that her ear hurt, and it just kept getting worse. We ended up having to take her to Minute Clinic and getting an antibiotic. She was feeling much better after a few hours.
We woke up the next morning (Charlotte's bday)and did a few presents. Some accesories to go with her new Baby Alive. She was very happy with it. We then went swimming in the hotel pool.
Then we made a stop to see Grandma and Grandpa Cazee and Nathan's grandparents.
We were on our way out of town when we heard cousin Adam was at Grandma Ison's house, so that was a fun surprise. We stopped by to play with him for a little bit. Charlotte picked lunch at Steak and Shake, and her birthday was practically complete.
We drove into Evansville and got situated at our hotel before picking up a cake to take to Uncle David's and soon to be Aunt Christine. We had a yummy dinner with them and it only took a few hours for the girls to warm up to them.
The next morning we woke up and drove to Holiday World. I never take enough pictures there, but it was a blast as usual. I just can't say enough about this place. We got there soon after it opened and stayed until closing. It was so hot we spent most of our time in the waterpark.
We were so grateful for the free soft drinks and free sunscreen! (Even though, I got really sunburnt and I'm peeling today! Could've been worse, I guess)
Monday morning we packed up and headed home. We decided to take a detour in Brown County to visit my cousin, Chelle, who just opened a new store. It was fun to visit with her.
As if we hadn't had enough fun, we went to an Indianapolis Indians game that night. So fun!
And fireworks to end the night. Brooke was intrigued, Charlotte was not. Very loud and very close.
