Snow Day!

We **hope** we've gotten the last of the winter weather until next winter....we ended up with a snow day in March!  All church activities were cancelled on Tuesday night and school was scheduled for a 2 hour delay on Wednesday, until that morning.  Trying to sleep in, and we got the call that school was actually going to be closed.  Charlotte was disappointed she was going to miss her field trip (they're making it up in April) and I was missing out on a subbing job.  Bummer!  But Nathan had scheduled the day off to go on the field trip so we had a fun day!  Funny though, playing in the snow was not involved that day.
We have been wanting to take our kids to see Parental Guidance and it was at Movies 8 in Greenwood, an hour away!  I called my parents, and funny enough, they had planned to take my grandma that day also.  So we met them there.  We enjoyed the movie with them and then went back to their house to visit and eat dinner.

Playing in the snow didn't happen until 2 days later, yesterday.  Charlotte decided to play in it after school.  It had already melted a bit by then, but she still had fun.

Today it is in the 50's and most of the snow is already gone!  That's the way I like it!!

Pizza!

The girls and I were invited to a fun little party with some friends, just because!  They made their own pizzas and played some games.  I just chatted with the mom's :-)  They love making their own Papa Murphy's pizza...but this was all homemade...I'm not that good. ;-)

Poor Charlotte had to leave school early that day because supposedly had a fever!  She was perfectly fine the rest of the day so we still went to the party.  It was Dr. Seuss' bday so they were supposed to dress up and walk in a parade.  She had to miss it. :-(

Insta-post

I'm trying something new.  Posting from my Samsung tablet from my instagram pics.  We've been busy, so haven't taken too many real pics.  We've had sickness, wii playing, bread making, hair cuts, pinterest crafts...and coming soon....NEW COUCHES!!!

Jumping Joey's

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with Nathan's family in Bloomington.  The kids bounced to their heart's desire (again, some big kids too), the adults visited and played cards, and everyone was happy!  We exchanged some gifts later and Charlotte's favorite was a stroller/pram for her baby doll.

The Blizzard of 2012

We didn't have a white Christmas, but we did get a blizzard the day after!  Although, we didn't get nearly as much North of Indy than everybody else did.  It was still fun to play in though.  Especially for the biggest kid in the family.  Nathan was out there for hours working on this snow fort.  The kids helped a little bit but got cold and came in.  He was pretty proud of it.  Right now it looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, it'll probably fall down at any time.

Christmas and all the Jazz

Not too many pictures were taken on Christmas.  The kids were happy with their loot even though all they got were WII games, DS games, movies, cd's, etc.  Charlotte got a Hungry, Hungry Hippo game from Grandma and figured out how to play by herself when no one else was available.  We had a nice, relaxing day.  We are now addicted to our Wheel of Fortune WII game and are practicing our skills for the day we can go on the show and win big money. ;-)

A Children's Museum Birthday

What 35 year old WOULDN'T want to spend his birthday at the Children's Museum???  Nathan was actually a really good sport about it.  The girls got out of school Wednesday and most people in the city had school until Friday.  We thought his birthday on Thursday might be the perfect time to go...and we were right!  We got to ride the yule slide several times, only waiting 5 or 10 minutes each, no line at all for the carousel, and no crowds.  It was great!  We decided to wait until about 2:00 to go and several school groups were leaving as we were getting there.  Even better!

Here they are dancing that all the groups are leaving :-)

I never could get a good picture of him going down the yule slide :-(

He loved the Hot Wheels exhibit!

For dinner we decided to head to Greenwood and go to Johnny Carino's.  We love that place and Greenwood was the closest around.  And kids eat free on Thursday night!  It was SOO good, as always.  We just wish they would build one closer to us!

We drove through our favorite Christmas light show on the way home.  Can't beat it!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
