A Children's Museum Birthday

What 35 year old WOULDN'T want to spend his birthday at the Children's Museum???  Nathan was actually a really good sport about it.  The girls got out of school Wednesday and most people in the city had school until Friday.  We thought his birthday on Thursday might be the perfect time to go...and we were right!  We got to ride the yule slide several times, only waiting 5 or 10 minutes each, no line at all for the carousel, and no crowds.  It was great!  We decided to wait until about 2:00 to go and several school groups were leaving as we were getting there.  Even better!

Here they are dancing that all the groups are leaving :-)

I never could get a good picture of him going down the yule slide :-(

He loved the Hot Wheels exhibit!

For dinner we decided to head to Greenwood and go to Johnny Carino's.  We love that place and Greenwood was the closest around.  And kids eat free on Thursday night!  It was SOO good, as always.  We just wish they would build one closer to us!

We drove through our favorite Christmas light show on the way home.  Can't beat it!

Great day for a parade

We had some great weather this past weekend.  Seemed kind of strange to be having a Christmas parade though.

The Hamilton Heights High School Football team (who I think just got 2nd place in football or something like that)

Since the weather was so nice, we decided to go to the Noblesville Square and visit Santa.  We had to wait in line outside, so it was perfect!  Brooke wants an I-phone, Charlotte wants a barbie airplane.

The girls love waking up every morning to find Oliver.  Especially Charlotte.

French Lick

We had a great Thanksgiving Break.  We took a little mini vacation on our way to celebrate Thanksgiving with Nathan's siblings in Evansville.  Brooke has been begging to go back to Big Splash Adventure ever since we went there with her girl scout troop when we lived in Kentucky.  So I finally found a groupon to use that included the hotel/waterpark, laser tag or mini golf and admission into the Santa House.

We decided not to tell the kids we were going there until we were on our way.  We wanted to stop and visit with Grandma Ison on our way and didn't want them to be antsy the whole time.  As soon as we left her house we told them. There is a video, but for some reason, I can't get to load here.  Let's just say, they didn't really believe me.  Too many tricks pulled on them, courtesy of Jimmy Kimmel.

Anyway, a great time was had at the water park and laser tag.  The Santa House left much to be desired, but that's ok.  I think it was their first year doing it, so hopefully it'll improve in the years to come.

By the way, it wasn't busy at all!  They made some new friends, even.  Brooke ended up playing most of the time with a brother/sister from St. Louis.  They were on their way to Louisville.  :-)

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
