Louisville splash park

We went to a splash park down by the river with some friends the other day. Charlotte had lots of fun playing in the water and on the FOUR playgrounds. Nice!

Straight hair

Surprise! It's Brooke. She finally agreed to have her cut today and she had the stylist straighten it. She loves it and I love it. She is still growing out her bangs though.

Hair Don't?

I don't claim to be good at doing my girls hair. Brooke won't hardly let me touch it anymore. Charlotte will let me do things though. I can't say I'm very creative though. It's usually just a ponytail or pigtails. But what do you think of this? Does it look like she has a tail?

Quick trip

The girls and I took a quick trip to Indy this weekend. Less than 24 hours to be exact. We had a baby shower to go to! Their first cousin on the Cazee side. They're pretty excited about this soon to be arrival.

While we were having a fun weekend, poor Nathan was stuck in Madison, Wisconsin. He had been there for business and his flight was canceled Friday night and again Saturday morning. He finally made it home Saturday afternoon. Poor guy.

Photographer in the Making

The girls are always wanting to use my camera to take pictures. Usually I don't really mind as long as they're careful. At least I can go back and delete the ridiculous ones of the sock on the floor, the computer screen, the unmade bed, etc. I found these pictures on my camera the other day and thought they weren't too bad. Charlotte was laying on my bed watching cartoon. And Nathan "in his office".

I haven't taken too many pictures lately. I wish I had taken my camera to the park today. We picked up some friends on our way and had lots of fun. This particular park has a sand volleyball court (which, for most kids, just means a really big sandbox). For some reason, there was a huge mound of sand off to the side. Of course they wanted to play in it. They buried themselves up to their heads. And got sand all the way in their you-know-whats. Let's just say, we got right in the bathtub when we got home. Charlotte had the "Best day ever!" and had to call everyone: Daddy, grandma, Lauren, whoever would listen. Brooke's turned into the "worst day ever" because I wouldn't let our friends come back to our house and play. Oh boy.

Back to School

Yesterday was the first day of school. Their school wanted them to wear the school t-shirts. She's looking pretty tired, but she got right up on her own and started getting ready. She was very excited. There are 2 girls from her class at church in her class. Her teacher is Mrs. Mintman.

Lauren is visiting for a few days. She wanted to get a pedicure after Brooke got home from school. Who am I to pass up on a pedicure?
Charlotte got her fingers painted. Brooke did too but I guess we forgot to get a picture of that. Brooke's fingers are neon ORANGE!!
Hmmm...maybe we should make pedicure a back to school tradition? ;-)

Bounce! Bounce!

We met some friends at a inflatable bounce place today. We had some FREE coupons from the library so we had to use them!! The kids all had so much fun!



They had to take a break to do some arts and crafts.

Charlotte took a picture of herself....Then insisted I take some pictures for her. I guess so we could get the whole look.
Then she had to go get her flower necklace and ring.
