Packing it all in

School starts one week from today.  I am trying to pack all the fun I can into the next week.  Lots of swimming is happening.  I always forget to take pictures because we are having too much fun!  I did take a picture at the splash pad the other day.

We went to a man made beach the other day. What can I say??  It's Indiana...But, it's the best kept secret in town!  The best part was that it was FREE!!  And they keep extra sand toys to play in.  My kids had a blast!

The girls also did a bowling camp this week.  It was in the morning so it was good practice for getting up early and out the door.  (They have been sleeping in until 9 or 10).  They had a great time and today was cosmic bowl.

Can't wait to make more memories this summer! :-)

Children's Museum and Swimming

We didn't give Grandma and Grandpa a break after they got home from their 2 1/2 week long trip to Utah.  The day after they got home we met up with them, Lauren, and the Danz cousins at the Children's Museum.  We didn't spend a lot of time there, we were mostly going to see the cute little play they were putting on, Rapunzel.  I want to see it again!

The next night we met up with them again at the Danz Pool.  It was such a beautiful night and the water was so warm and relaxing.

Happy 4th of July from Holiday World!

This year we chose to spend our 4th of July in Holiday World.  Nathan's brother and his fiance drove up from Evansville and my sister, Lauren came along too.  For the first time in a long time, we had more adults than kids!

We had a summer assignment from Charlotte's first grade teacher.  We had to take a picture of Flat Stanley somewhere, send it to her, and she would give her a prize on the first day of second grade.  So here they are, with the Raven in the background...the first big roller coaster Charlotte rode.

Lots of new rides this year.  The teacups were a welcome addition. ;-)

The first time for Charlotte to ride the big swings.

She did not ride the voyage, but she loves these photo ops.
Unfortunately, it wasn't the best day to be in the water park.  Not even 70 degrees.  But we had to sacrifice for our kids.  We only stayed for a few hours to go on our favorite rides and try some new ones.  This was a first for everyone, but Nathan.  That is Lauren in the raft, I had gotten dressed by then.

I think I was yelling/cheering Charlotte on, to go faster or push the pedal or something!  So competitive, I am. :-)

Nathan's favorite ride he has to ride by himself.

We like the slow and steady one.
It was a fun day that even ended with fireworks, which we watched from outside the park, parked on the side of the road.  Easy access to get back to our hotel.
Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
