VIDEOS!!

I have tried for months to upload videos and have never been able to do it...until tonight!! I might go crazy with videos now! These are some of Charlotte's songs from school.

Spring Fever

Not a whole lot going on here. We're tired of the snow, tired of the cold, tired of winter. We're ready for warmer weather and SPRING!! The kids want to ride bikes and go to the park, and mom and dad want to be able to go for walks without freezing ourselves. There is an end in sight...Nathan graduates in nine weeks!! We are hoping to move somewhere warmer...like Tennessee!! It's a very big possibility that we will move there but it's not set in stone...yet. More to come on that later...

And, because I can't post anything without a few pictures, here's a few random ones. The other day Brooke asked to "work-out" to one of my work out videos. (10 minute workouts for dummies-Thanks Christine :-)

I thought it was kind of funny so I wanted to take some pictures. For some reason she loved it and wanted to do more videos! She never once got out of breath, like I do after 5 minutes. I liked this picture because you can tell she's really getting into it with her hair all over the place.
Gee, that's an odd position, I hope I don't look like that when I'm doing it...
By the way, don't you love her jeans I got for her at Goodwill for $1.99? I do!!

Not to be outdone, Charlotte wanted me to take some pictures of her too. Gotta love the toothless smile ;-)

Is there such a thing as too much fun?

We have just been having too much fun here the last couple days. I don't know if I can handle anymore fun. ;-) Yesterday I went to Brooke's school Valentine's party. They have today and Monday off for President's Day. They made some fun crafts and had lots of yummy treats. Can you say sugar high? Here she is with some of her friends in her class.
They sang a song and here she is mid-song, really getting into it.

After school, we headed to Grand Rapids to go to the Children's Museum. Brooke has been asking to go ever since she went to the one in Indy. Thursday nights are discounted so since they didn't have school today, it was the perfect time to go.

They took their jobs at the grocery store pretty seriously.

Future bank teller?
The zoo was there with a few animals. Charlotte had no problem petting the snake.
This was a chicken coop and you could roll eggs back and forth to each other. They thought it was pretty cool...even dad.
These mirrored tubes/tunnels were the coolest things ever! I love these pictures!

If that wasn't enough fun, we had a Valentine's party with our friends today. They had lots of fun!! We made candy necklaces, Valentines, played bingo and musical hearts.
Here is our lunch: heart shaped sandwiches, heart shaped jello, strawberries, doritos, and veggies.
Hard at work making their necklaces.
Playing musical hearts.

The kids all had a great time...and I think the parents did too! So...is there such a thing as too much fun?

Snow Day!

No picture of them playing in the snow, but this is what it looks like out our back door.
We made some Valentine door hangers.
Brooke played on the computer. And we made some Valentine sugar cookies. YUM!
What did you do on your snow day?

FLORIDA!!

So we just got back from Florida...sigh...It was wonderful, well for me at least. Poor Nathan was stuck inside for 3 days doing "conference" stuff. I spent my days sitting by the pool, soaking up the sun, and reading some good books. It was great. Maybe the best part about it was, for me, not having anything scheduled. Sometimes you're on vacation and you're going, going, going. This was nice to just relax and not be in a hurry to get anywhere. I didn't have to worry about my kids; feeding them, entertaining them, etc. Thanks mom, dad, and Lauren for taking care of them!! They had a great time too. Two visits to the Children's Museum, with the Barbie Exhibit the highlight, Incredible Pizza Company, The Princess and the Frog, Chick-fil-a kids night, library, cousins, etc.
So, anyway, the weather was perfect. It only rained once, and that was in the middle of the night. It got a little windy at times by the pool, but other than that, it was great! We also made a stop at the Orlando Temple, some high priced outlets, (I thought outlets were supposed to be cheaper??..everything from Claire's, Gap, and Nike to Coach, Tommy Hilfiger, and Banana Republic) and Cocoa Beach.

Monday night Nathan was invited to a dinner by a large company. They had lots of yummy food, the best being lobster ravioli. Lots of delicious desserts too!
Cheers with my pool buddy. One of Nathan's classmates stayed in our hotel with his wife also. We hung out by the pool together. Oh, and don't worry, mine is non-alcoholic. :-)

The Orlando Temple. It was beautiful!
This is the Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach. It was a pretty cool place.
The beautiful beach and ocean....
This was the front of our hotel. I thought the fountain was pretty. That dang sun is shining too bright!!

We had a wonderful time and I can't wait to go back!
Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
